London will host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It will be the first time the Olympics have been held in Britain since 1948.

The Coventry & Warwickshire area is home to many quality sporting facilities and has been identified as a possible location for hosting the Olympic training camps for visiting teams in the lead up to the 2012 Olympics and in the weeks before the games begin.

Only an hour away from London by train, the Olympics is an excellent chance for the area to promote itself and develop business, tourism and sporting opportunities in the area.
