Outline planning permission has been granted for a large scale development around Coventry railway station. Known as Friargate the development will provide office accommodation, retail and residential areas.

There will also be improved access to public transport and pedestrian routes to the city centre. It is hoped that the scheme will create more than 15,000 new jobs for the city.
