About Us
The ‘World of Work’ is changing all the time. New jobs are being created and some are being lost. Knowing what opportunities are on offer is vital if you want to get on in the workplace.
On average people change careers 11 times in their life, so you probably won’t stay in the same job you start out in.
In the future, two out of three jobs will require a higher level of skills and better qualifications so you will need to keep on learning throughout your life.
This means that it is vital for you keep up-to-date about what’s happening in the labour market – who the employers are, where the jobs are and what skills you need.
Connexions Coventry & Warwickshire has developed this website to help inform young people, advisers, teachers and employers about the changes in the labour market locally. We hope you will use it as a basis for understanding and planning future career ideas.
The site has been developed by Connexions Coventry & Warwickshire, in partnership with Learning and Skills Council, Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council.
